Quansheng UV-K5

I came across this radio on YouTube around February–March 2023. At that time it was on sale on Amazon US. Later that channel ran out of stock. On 29 May I ordered one via Aliexpress. With the upfront tax included it came to 854 TL. It was delivered on 5 June.

The radio’s most important advantage is that its firmware password has been cracked and can be regenerated. That means many people doing open-source work on its firmware can develop software that adds new features to the radio.
